Baldwin

Baldwin is the first and only true 'Hazard hound'. A class of bioengineered organisms built to withstand oppressive amounts of radiation, toxins, poisons, pressure, etc.Due to the costs, only one was created, he was left on standby for years before the project was picked up again and restructured into a cheaper, less reliable alternative. Baldwin's "siblings" have a certain resistance to all those factors, but they are not immune to it like he is, he is also, visibly taller, tougher and able to speak in proper english unlike the others. He would finally get a purpose in life as a nuclear powerplant worker under Dr. Hahns, command. Although he found the work fulfilling, he was never able to socialise with the others due to the language gap, he became closer to his chief than the ones like him.He is quiet, a bit overly protective of Dr. Hahn and the others, would rather stick to himself. The nuclear powerplant is quite separated from the rest of the facility, meaning they often go days or weeks without seeing outsiders.

Valérie PasteurAndalusian Red fox (Or Iberian Red fox)
domestic

Like most members of the Freemen, a naive teen trying to find a place in the world was whisked away into the organization. At least others had excuses, troubled home, bills or debts, health issues. For the most part, Valérie is a dedicated hard worker, trying to forget the fact she abandoned a loving family behind. She's the leading researcher in genetics despite not being remotely interested in it, working in a off-body facility, a smaller building far from the Big Boy but still underwater.Currently,

Moira the Rebel
Common lab rat.

Moira is a curious case, she's the only case of a feral animal turning into an intelligent one. This mutation was caused by a virus engineered in one of Freemen's research facility in Ireland. The virus, engineered to heal damaged neural pathways, caused one of the rats to become intelligent... too intelligent.Moira not only became sapient but also a hivemind, as all rats experimented with the virus somehow became an unified individual. Different bodies, same mind. The Freemen quickly capitalized on this, using Moira as surveillance "cameras" across facilities, over the years the members of the organization caught up to the fact that the rat infestation problem was on purpose, and that the rats were watching their every move.Moira's real body resides in the Big boy, though her other bodies are spread accross research facilities in every corner of the world. No attempt to infect other feral animals with the virus has ever been attempted and it cannot be transmited to individual from individual. The virus can be passed down to offspring and Moira often reproduces with... herself, to make more of........herself.Don't think much about it.

Ihor Ky'tskaUndefined dog breed

Ihor is a former aid worker in west Africa, his stay was prolonged due to the civil war in Sierra Leone and the ebola outbreak. He would be later captured by the Red Swines, a mercenary company working on the behalf of the Freemen of science and sent to their facility... not as a test subject but as worker.

Perhaps the only man in Freemen who still clings to his morals still, bold and conspicious among his more skittish coworkers, he knows when to speak up and when to keep his head down. As a result, most of his work in the Freemen was patching up test subjects for their next round of experiments, a dirty work given to unruly baby scientists to disentisize them for the horrors that would come. Ihor in a way never really grew from this 'dirty work', not seeing it as a punishment for his behaviour. He eventually gained a spark for quantum physics, and after years of resenting trust, he was allowed to study and change departments. His work in physics most notably has the Simuroraculum, a determinism machine that 'predicts' the future based on using the data of every single person on the world, complex equations on how atoms move, waves, piles and piles of unbiased historical retellings (or the most neutral they could be...) and a insurmountable amount of power to run the machine. This behemoth of a contraption obviously proved to be too expensive to be created, so a smaller one was made.Still, agaisnt all laws of physics, it made a tear in timespace, affecting him and only him. For this reason, his design is inconsistent, from his markings placement to species, it's understood that each iteration of him seen to be individuals from alternate timelines bleeding into our current one. Where the original Ihor is today is still a mystery, though some say he may be existing in a place between timelines. (Often called the Chronovoid)Ihor's personality varies greatly from iteration to iteration, although he's usually laidback, friendly and difficult to irritate, but unnaproachable by nature, despite his charisma and "dad-like" aura, he mostly dislikes company and would rather keep to himself, even if others take great comfort in his aura.

The Freemen's ivory tower, away from laymen and lesser individuals. The Big boy is a colossal structure resting from the surface of the ocean to the sea floor.Freemen workers are not actually obliged to work, but chances are, if you are in the Big boy, science is your entire life and abstaining from the lab might make you sick.Still, they are paid in the Freemen's currency and are free to spend it in luxuries. The admnistration provides free food, healthcare, amenities, housing and among other things on a basic level and salary is often spent on expensive food, entertainment and non-essential items.

Freyja "Ashanov" Charpentier
Great horned arctic fox - Páwä (Wildborn)

Art by Luxluxray on telegram

Freyja Charpentier or more known as Ash / Ashanov, is the current leader of the Freemen of science. She's a small, silver arctic fox perpetually stuck in her summer coat. She' missing an eye due to a botched lobotomy. As a nepobaby worker in the Freemen, she was desesperate to be accepted by the scientist instead of the businessmen. Getting herself into dangerous experiments with no regards to her body, most notably a surrogacy and a lobotomy; both which would ruin her life. When dust settled, she was accepted and nurtured by Hiroshi Mitsuda, an elderly man fascinated with bioweapons and seen as an extremist even by other scientists. Freyja would quickly adopt his ways and make bioweapons of her own, though none ever test in real-life settings... yet.

'Ashanov' or 'Ash' is a nickname, derived from her biological uncle who also worked in the Freemen, although not alongside her. Most people know her by this name instead of her real one (although her real one is not a secret and she doesn't care if others refer her by it). She's apathetic, expresionless and often too blunt but somehow unexplicably 'quirky' with a tendency to daydream and dissasociate. Despite her reputation and appearance, she's not quick to anger or sadistic, she is simply indifferent to the suffering of others. She's married to Bull, leader of a military/mercenary company working for the Freemen. She's not faithful at all and often is seem with other women, especially Valérie. As an great horned arctic fox, she belongs to a group native to the arctic called Páwä (Pah-weh). Ash was one of the thousands children placed in a boarding school away from her family, facilitating her kidnapping.

Relevant information;- Ash is married, but will often get with other women.- She was the surrogate for two experimental hybrids; SE0003 (two headed hybrid) and Hugo.- She was lobotomized for being mentally unstable after the death of SE0003.
